Our History

1987 Terry McMillan establishes McMillan Consulting to provide specialist financial and management advice to marketing service companies, with a focus on the implementation of accounting software solutions
1990 After acquiring the Asia Pacific rights to leading US advertising accounting software AMPs, McMillan Consulting becomes Ad Systems, a specialist software company for marketing service companies
2007 Our team spends a year designing and engineering AccountAbility from scratch. More than 1,000 pages of detailed specifications and database designs were completed before development commenced
2008 AccountAbility was founded with the belief that cloud and ‘Software as a Service’ (SaaS) will revolutionise the way business software is developed and distributed. JULY: AccountAbility officially in full release as its first Australian client goes live
2010 SEPTEMBER: First New Zealand client goes live
2011 Adsum appointed as APAC Distributor
2012 AgencyDNA appointed as UK/European Distributor

JANUARY: Multi-office Middle East client goes live.

JUNE: First client in Germany goes live

2013 First clients in United States and UK go live.

APRIL: Global contract executed with objective to reach users in 35 countries

2014 AccountAbility opens in the USA
2015 JANUARY: Establishes global footprint with clients in over 25 countries.
